In line with Malta’s sustainable environmental and waste management strategy, Wasteserv seeks to provide a national service through its waste recovery and treatment processes employed at the Sant’ Antnin Waste Treatment Plant. The facility operates to: (i) manually sort dry recyclables in the material recovery line, (ii) process organic waste. The resulting outputs are used to generate renewable energy from the latter whilst other fractions are recovered for recycling or landfilling.
Wasteserv’s critical objectives are to achieve and enhance customer satisfaction, protect the environment, and provide a reliable yet environmentally aligned waste management services to waste carriers, producers and brokers.
Through its operations at Sant’ Antnin Waste Treatment Plant and the various supporting branches, Wasteserv will strive to:
- Comply with IPPC Permit IP 0005/13
- Use the facility efficiently and effectively;
- Reduce organic fractions being landfilled;
- Maintain emergency preparedness measures to minimise and control the risk of fire and spills;
- Attain positive feedback from waste carriers, producers and brokers
- Minimise complaints from interested parties.
We are committed to continually improve our management system and its effectiveness constantly and repeatedly through established mechanisms. This policy shall be communicated to, and understood by, all personnel within the organisation. We will also communicate this policy to the public, and all visitors and contractors at the facility.
This Policy is reviewed periodically to ensure that our focus on customer requirements and environmental preservation is maintained, and that the measures of our promise to our customers are achieved.
