Head Of Shift - Thermal Treatment Facility

WasteServ, through its contractor OZO Services, is seeking a talented and motivated Head of Shift - Thermal Treatment Facility to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Reporting to the Managing Professional, the selected candidate shall be responsible for the daily management and operations of the plants as well as making sure that the plants achieves optimal utilization;
The Head of Shift shall be conducting daily inspections as well as setting procedures, compiling reports, assuming technical responsibilities for fault finding, ensuring that all operational sheets (SCADA, Lifters, etc.) are filled in correctly daily by employees and liaising with the maintenance team;
The role also involves training personnel, SCADA knowledge and ensuring that health and safety procedures are adhered to;
Liaising with quality control/sales representatives to indicate material which is ready for collection;
The role will entail that the HOS will be always the ultimate responsible person onsite, especially in the absence of the engineers;
The HOS will guide his management team (Supervisor) accordingly to ensure that housekeeping is done appropriately and in a timely manner and performing constant checks during, before and after plant operations;
Daily logging of personnel overtime and ensuring that leave is entitled to employees in a responsible manner.

About You

The ideal candidate should have:

Must have an MQF Level 5 qualification and 1 year experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment;
OR
Must have an MQF Level 4 qualification and 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role;
OR
Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in a Supervisory role;
Working experience must be in an industrial environment, including offshore experience.
