The passion of the employees at Malta National Aquarium is not only reflected in their camaraderie but also in the initiatives they organise each year for the European Week for Waste Reduction.
This year, their dedication truly paid off! The Malta National Aquarium not only won the award for the best initiative in their category in Malta but also emerged victorious on a European level, competing against 29 countries!
Creativity, sarcasm, irony, originality, and above all, simplicity, were the distinguishing factors that set this initiative apart. Their project exemplified what a European Week for Waste Reduction action should encompass to effectively convey its message and raise awareness that small daily actions can have a significant impact on our environment. Therefore, reducing, reusing, and recycling are a must.
Thanks to the enthusiasm displayed by the employees, their message was clearly communicated to thousands of people—not only to those who visited the aquarium but also to those who follow their social media channels, where more information was shared to further raise awareness about sustainable practices.
